Architent® with Sure-Chek® Antimicrobial
This new formulation of Architent® tent and structure fabrics was developed using Herculite® Sure-Chek® antimicrobial technology. Featuring a broad-spectrum antimicrobial that inhibits the growth of microorganisms on the surface of the fabric. This integrated antimicrobial provides long-lasting protection with a "slow release" of the specially formulated antimicrobial system to the fabric surface.
Total Blackout Solution
Architent StarFree Blackout virtually eliminates the issue of pinholes and starry brights through its proprietary technology. This exclusive approach incorporates a proprietary core stabilized opaque layer system that not only assures total blackout performance upon initial tent fabrication but also provides extended blackout protection in the event of abrasions during tent installation and takedown.
Industry Standard Blackout
This fabric is ideal for rental tents where long lasting durability is required. Easy to use, Architent 16 ounce makes fabrication a breeze for tents that will stand up to the rigors of the rental industry.
The High Performance Solution
When it comes to the strength, security and aesthetics required of semi-permanent structures, the industry’s leading choice is Architent Excel. This flexible composite textile is engineered for the high performance demands of large structures, assuring long-term beauty, durability and safety. Available in both blackout and translucent constructions, Architent Excel is UV resistant and easily maintained so users are ensured that their semi-permanent structures support positive brand experiences.

How do you weld Architent fabric?
Some of the most common methods used for seaming Architent Tent Fabric:
Hot Air Welding
This process of vinyl welding involves the use of hot air—varying from 200 to 600 degrees C or more—to weld two layers of fabric. A nozzle is inserted into the space between the two layers and the hot air is blown inside. Once the surfaces are hot enough, the layers are pressed together using pinch rollers. The weld is created once the rollers are finished pinching the fabrics together.
Radio Frequency Welding
Also known as high frequency or dielectric welding; uses radio waves to create heat.
In this process, chemical solvents are used to create a seam. The solvent is placed along the surface of the fabrics and allowed to rest for a short period of time. The solvent’s chemicals break down or soften the fabrics. Once the fabrics are soft enough, pressure is applied to create the seam.
Two pieces of fabric are passed through a wedge. The wedge is heated and as the fabrics move along, a roller is used to press them together; a seam is created.
Sewing Using Polyester or Teflon Thread
The seam is created using a sewing machine. Proper thread selection is critical especially when outdoor applications are subject to harsh weather elements. Polyester and Teflon threads offer strength and durability.

How do I maintain my Architent with Sure-Chek?
Architent with Sure-Chek® Antimicrobial fabrics were designed to be safe, comfortable, and long lasting. They are designed resist staining from most medications, oils, grease and contaminants and the Sure-Chek antimicrobial fabric protection system performs for the life of the fabric. To maximize the life of these products, Herculite® recommends regular cleaning as follows:
Soils or Stains: Use neutral soap suds and lukewarm water. Do not use harsh cleansers, solvents or detergents.
Hard-to-Clean Spots: Use standard household/vinyl cleansers and a soft bristle brush and gentle agitation on troublesome spots or stains. Pre-soak heavy, dried-on soil.
All Architent fabrics may be cleaned with a 1:10 dilution of household bleach containing 5.25% hypochlorite to water as recommended by the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA. There is no harmful effect on the fabric when this dilution ratio of household bleach is used.
If aggressive disinfectants are necessary, phenolic disinfectants are acceptable for use on vinyl products, and quaternary disinfectants are acceptable for use on urethane products. Concentrated phenolic disinfectants are not recommended for use on urethane products. Concentrated quaternary disinfectants are not recommended for vinyl products. These disinfectants should always be used in the dilutions recommended by the manufacturers. Improper dilution can cause damage to these fabrics.
